Why a New Logo?
A logo is an icon, symbol, or graphic element used to signal a trademark or brand. It is an image that provides instant public recognition and association to an organization. Over the years, Beavercreek Christian Church’s logo has undergone several updates and as God continues to refine and shape our identity and direction, we must adapt our logo to accurately represent who we are. The new logo comes at the onset of new work that God has began through us.
The Shape
The logo is a round-cornered box containing a looped swirl – implying a snapshot of a moving line at a specific moment of time. The shapes are smooth and fluid giving the feeling of movement and energy. The line enters from one side, does a loop and then exits the other side creating 3 distinct sections. These sections visually depict the CONNECT, GROW, GO concept, which is our strategy for making disciples. The swirl also resembles a “2”, reminding us of our 2nd Mile Vision.

The Colors
The colors are bold but not bright – confidence but not arrogance. The brown and blue give the idea of ground and sky with the white swirl giving the appearance of a road – indicating the idea of “journey” or “travel” which ties into our 2nd Mile metaphor. The logo is also designed with versatility in mind – working well at any size, in a single color, or even black and white.

Nice job, Ben!
Thanks,
Phil
